West Nipissing Police continue to expand their web site.

They’ve added a vulnerable persons registry to help in investigating incidents of people who have gone missing.

There have been 30 such reports this year and 3 involved people suffering from dementia.

The registry defines a vulnerable person as as someone suffering from autism, Alzheimer’s disease, other dementia, someone with a brain injury or having an intellectual disability.

Police say by registering someone you give police the ability to quickly access critical information about the missing person.
