The Weather Network says trick or treaters in North Bay will enjoy dry conditions for Halloween tomorrow (Tuesday).

That’s the word from Meteorologist Doug Gillham, who also says temperatures will be near seasonal.

“After being spoiled for much of the fall, that will still feel chilly, a bit of a shock to the system with temperatures in the early evening slowly sliding to just above zero,” he says.

Gillham says that should be welcomed news compared to a few years ago.

“Just three years ago that we had some significant snow on Halloween, so just to have some dry weather and near seasonal temperatures, I think most people will appreciate that,” he says.

As for November, Gillham says we can expect back and forth swings in temperature and it’s more likely to tip to the cool side of normal with a taste of winter at times.

But, he says they don’t think winter will be setting in just yet.

Meantime, city fire crews are putting out a last minute call for donations to their annual Halloween event at Fire Station One.

They’re looking for wrapped candy and chips, pumpkins, straw bales and corn stalks with cash donations being accepted too.

They can be dropped off at station one on Princess Street.

Halloween Festivities run from 5pm to 8pm on Tuesday.
