A new chapter is beginning at the Capitol Centre.

The board says after 18 years of serving the centre with “commitment and passion” Dee Adrian is retiring.

Mayor Al McDonald says Adrian has made a major impact in the community.

“There’s only like 15 dark nights all year which goes to show you that she has really brought vibrancy to the Capitol Centre, where it’s used year round,” he says.

McDonald wishes her well in retirement, but says the city will miss her.

Adrian will continue to serve as the interim programming director as they search for a permanent replacement.

Executive functions will be performed by Director of Business Operations Katina Connolly.
