The MTO’s Northern Highways Program includes several road rehabilitation projects in the North Bay area in 2018.

You’ll notice work happening on most major highways around the city next year.

There’s a wildlife detection system being installed over four kilometres of Highway 11 south of Callander.

Eleven kilometres of road resurfacing is also scheduled on Hwy 11 south, from the Lakeshore turnoff to south of Highway 654.

Highway 17 East will see improvements at Corbeil Corners with traffic lights and repairs to the roundabout in Mattawa.

West of the city, there’s a culvert replacement project and less than a kilometre of resurfacing east of Sturgeon Falls.

The program also details resurfacing, bridge and culvert work for Highway 94 and resurfacing and a bridge replacement on Highway 522.

Future work, between 2019 and 2021, includes resurfacing of the bypass in North Bay and resurfacing and culvert work on Highway 11 north of the city.
