The results are in from the 19th annual 101.9 Rock/McDonald’s Toy Drive.

“This year’s toy total is 2,085 new toys!” says McDonald’s Owner/Operator Brad Haines.

He says they get a lot of support from the business community and their customers.

“So many of the same faces that I know take a lot of pride in doing the toy drive at their different organizations, and all our different customers that come back and visit us, but a lot of
new faces too, this year,”
he says.

Along with donations from various businesses and organizations, McDonald’s customers donated new, unwrapped toys in exchange for a $3 extra value meal.

The toys will help brighten the holidays for local children.

Delivery of the toys is taking place today (Wednesday) to several local groups.

They include LIPI, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Children’s Aid Society, the Crisis Centre, the Ojibway Women’s Lodge and the Pediatric Ward at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
