The North Bay and District Humane Society has a new Executive Director.

Liam Cullen took over the position on Tuesday.

He joins the Humane Society from the YMCA where he was Regional Manager of Marketing and Communications.

Cullen will be responsible for the overall operations of the Humane Society, including developing, implementing, directing and evaluating a broad range of animal welfare programs and services.

“We are very happy to have Liam join us as Executive Director at the North Bay & District Humane Society,” said Jeff Beaudoin, Chair of the Board of Directors with the Humane Society.
“Liam comes to us with a great deal of experience working with a not-for-profit organization and we are confident that he will help lead the Humane Society in pursuit of its goal to be the leader in animal welfare in our community.”

Born in Timmins, Cullen is a graduate of Western University.

He moved to North Bay in 2000 with his wife Kristen where they are raising their children and caring for their two cats, Kitty and Daisy.
