The North Bay Battalion has traded 19 year old defenceman Cam Dineen (pictured) to the Sarnia Sting.

In return, the Troops get 17 year old blueliner Braden Henderson and up to seven draft picks, including two second round priority selections in 2019 and 2021.

He’s a skilled defenceman who was a point-a-game player in junior B last year,” Stan Butler, Battalion director of hockey operations and head coach, said of Henderson in a release from the OHL club. “We hope, with the way the game is going with puck-moving defencemen, that he can fit into that role here.”

Henderson, who has five assists and six penalty minutes in 19 minutes this season, is expected to be in the lineup when the Troops play host to the London Knights Sunday afternoon.

Catch the game on Country 600 CKAT, starting at 1:55 pm.

Dineen, an Arizona Coyotes draft pick, has 11 goals and 25 assists for 36 points in 39 games for the Battalion this season.
