North Bay OPP are warning about thin and deteriorating ice with the recent warmer temperatures.

This after a couple incidents near Callander Bay on Lake Nipissing.

Provincial police say a passenger vehicle went through the ice on Saturday, about 200m from shore, between Lighthouse Road and Smith Island.

There were no injuries.

On Sunday, OPP received a call about a partially sunken and abandoned ATV between Smith Island and Grand Truck Island.

Police are looking for the owner.

In a separate incident, OPP report a 20 year old North Bay man has been charged with impaired after a single vehicle collision in the Trout Creek area on Friday just before 8 pm.

Police arrived to find a passenger vehicle partially submerged in water, in a ditch.

The man has a March 13th court appearance.

Meantime, North Bay OPP are investigating a break-in to a hunt camp in Patterson Township sometime between December 15th and March 4th.

A window was broken and clothes were found to be missing.
