Twenty-eight CT33 Thunderbird Swim Team members competed at the first long course meet of the season in Sudbury recently.

First place finishes were achieved by Trael Daly Stevens (pictured), Evan Kilroy, Jesse Hammond, Ryleigh Paralovos, Jenna Wall and Peyton Parolovos.

Daly Stevens also secured a qualifying time for the 2018 Speedo Eastern Championship and a second junior national time.

Seven more team members had top three finishes including Albert Bouley, Timothy Corbeil, Samuel Denomme, Sheldon Kilroy, Emilia Lainevool, Ayden Michaud and Cole Paralovos.

Myles Denomme, Jillian O’Donnell, Rachelle Ouellette, Noah Papatheodorou, Jaiden Paralovos, Riley Periard, Madilyn Reaume, Drew Sinclair, Madeline Tanner, Isabella Trottier, Olivia Trottier and Gavin Wall had top eight finishes.

Most CT33 Thunderbird swimmers earned personal best times at the event with special mention to Sydney Doidge, Annika Lainevool, and Katie Sefton.

On April 8th, the 12 and under swimmers with be attending the Top Fish competition at the Elliot Lake Aquatic Club and then joining their team at the North Bay Y Invitation Meet April 13-15, hosted by the North Bay Titans.

Qualifying swimmers will be competing at the 2018 Speedo Easter Canadian Championships April 12-15th.
