The Elite Alpine Ski Cross team has been nominated for a provincial award for dedication to the sport.

The nomination comes from Alpine Ontario for the club of the year honour.

As well, head coach Jason Sullivan has received a coach of the year nomination for excellence, passion and dedication to ski racing.

Sulivan says the team has worked very hard to get where they are.

“We are super excited with how things are progressing, as we’ve just finished our second season and have already achieved huge milestones on and off the hill. Ski Cross is an amazingly-exciting, super-fun sport. The progress the athletes have made in training ski cross and alpine has been remarkable. To have kids that could barely ski at the start of the season to those same kids now hitting jumps and landing them with huge smiles on their faces is what it’s all about. Our athletes are loving ski cross and they are improving dramatically,” he says.
