A special weather statement has been issued for northeastern Ontario, including the North Bay area.

It all involves the forecast on Sunday and Monday with 15 to 25 cm of snow possible.

Strong winds will also cause blowing snow.

Environment Canada also says the North Bay area can expect to see the snow mixed with ice pellets and possibly freezing rain on Sunday night.

That may result in reduced snowfall amounts.
