a 29 year old Oro-Medonte male has been charged with driving a motor vehicle while performing a stunt.

Police say early Saturday morning officers on Highway 11 in the Powassan area observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.

Police say the vehicle was speeding by more than 50 km/hr over the posted speed limit.

The motorist had his vehicle impounded for 7 days and his licence suspended for the same period.

A 29 year old Timmins motorist has been charged with driving over the legal limit of alcohol and possession of cannabis marijuana.

The charges were laid after police stopped a vehicle during a spot check on Highway 17 in North Bay on Saturday night,

The motorist had his licence automatically suspended for 90 days.

A 49 year old Mattawa resident was arrested for several outstanding warrants including driving while under suspension, failing to apply for permit on becoming a vehicle owner and not having insurance to operate a vehicle on a highway.

The vehicle was stopped last Thursday on Highway 17 in Calvin Township.
