North Bay OPP have charged 22 people with driving while under suspension.

Police point out there are 700,000 people in Ontario who are registered as suspended drivers yet many of them are still driving.

If a driver is caught driving while suspended they can be fined between $1,000 and $5,000, put in jail for 6 months or have their vehicle impounded for 7 days.

You can be suspended for unpaid fines, medical reasons, failing to pay child support, not completing a remedial program or demerit points.
