North Bay’s Colton Point capped off one of the best seasons for a Colgate University goaltender in the history of the men’s hockey program with more accolades last night (Wednesday).

He was named one of two Athletes of the Year at Colgate.

Point was named the program’s 16th All-American, the first sophomore to do so.

He was a finalist for the Hobey Baker and Mike Richter awards, ECAC hockey player and goaltender of the year honours.

Point was also a second-team all-league selection, set team records for save percentage and goals against average.

The Chippewa Secondary School grad also won gold with Team Canada at the World Juniors.
