The local sports community is gathering for the 38th annual North Bay Sports Hall of Fame Induction and Sports Awards dinner tomorrow night (Saturday).

The event is taking place at the Best Western.

There are five inductees to the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame:
– Andy Collins
– Chantal Champagne
– Dieter Misch
– Brent Pigott
– Craig Rivet

15 Sports Awards will be handed out too:
– Jack Burrows Memorial Award for Sports Achievement – Jaimee Bull
– Dedication to Soccer (North Bay Youth Soccer) – Andy Hazelwood
– James Kelly Memorial Award for Team of the Year – Lightning Cheer ‘Perfect Storm’
– Dominico Family Award for Contribution to Softball/Baseball – Richard Michauville
– George Martyn Memorial Trophy for Basketball – Stacey Gallagher
– Judge Harry J Reynolds Memorial Trophy for Hockey – Jeff Jordan
– Al Brennan Memorial Trophy for Coach of the Year – Mark Robertson
– Jim Aspin Memorial Award for Executive of the Year – Jim Hall
– Mort Fellman Memorial Award for Female Athlete of the Year – Kate Sherry
– Britt Jessup Memorial Award for Male Athlete of the Year – Tim Hatton & Ryan Neil
– Pete Palangio Award for Contribution to Sport – Larry Tougas
– Peter Handley Friend of Sport – Charlie Olmsted
– Mike Mitchell-Larry Avery Memorial Award for Football – Bayne Norrie
