A northern issues debate involving the three main provincial party leaders goes today (Friday).

The event is being hosted by the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities and the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association.

FONOM President Al Spacek says Kathleen Wynne, Doug Ford and Andrea Horwath, who have all detailed northern platforms, are all taking part.

“We’re very pleased that there seems to be a focus on Northern Ontario by all three parties, and I think the questions will try and get more detail on what their strategy is,” he says.

FONOM tweeted earlier this week that the debate will be live streamed on their Facebook page starting at 11:30 am.

The debate is taking place in Parry Sound as a part of the FONOM conference.
