OPP are targeting roads, trails and waterways this Victoria Day Long Weekend, the unofficial kick-off to the summer season.

They’re watching for the so-called ‘big four’, which includes impaired driving, lack of seat belt usage, aggressive and distracted driving.

On the water police say be fully prepared, wear a life-jacket and don’t drink and boat.
Meantime, with many Canadians ready to hit the road for the long weekend, rising gas prices are likely to greet motorists at the pumps.

Dan McTeague of GasBuddy.com says drivers in Ontario and the Vancouver region will probably see higher prices, but lower prices could be found in Quebec and Alberta, thanks to local market pressures.

The average price in North Bay is just under $1.30 for a litre of regular.
