The city has outlined its Canada Day activities for July 1st.

While the country turns 151, the city will be celebrating the 50th year since the amalgamation of the Widdifield, West Ferris and North Bay Townships.

Activities include the singing of O’Canada and a cake cutting at the waterfront, along with a multi cultural showcase and Canada Day Kid’s Zone.

There’s also a cricket game at Amelia Field.

There’ entertainment throughout the afternoon, along with a CCR tribute band and fireworks at night.
