West Nipissing Police Chief's resignation takes effect July 3rd

West Nipissing Police Chief Chuck Seguin has submitted his resignation.

The board accepted his resignation, which takes effect July 3rd, saying Seguin is moving on to challenges outside the field of policing.

Seguin has been Chief of Police in West Nipissing since April 2009.

The board thanks him for his ‘loyal and dedicated commitment’ to the people of West Nipissing and wishes him the best in the future.

Back in December, West Nipissing Council voted to accept an OPP contract policing proposal with a transition period underway.
