A unique celebration is coming to the Dionne Quints Museum on Summer In The Park weekend.

Ed Valenti is with the Dionne Quints Heritage Board.

He says the highlights will include the museum receiving federal designation as a historical site and the appearance of the 2 surviving Quints, Cecile and Annette.

He says they’re making efforts for the public display of artifacts.

“We’re discussing with the city to move some artifacts to the Discovery North Bay Museum for that weekend and we’ve had discussions with their board to leave some items and a couple of displays,” he says.

Valenti says the plan is to keep the artifacts at the museum until they can move them to the museum when it officially opens next year.

He says the federal ministers of Canadian Heritage Melanie Joly and Parks Canada Catherine McKenna have been invited to attend the ceremony.
