The former Chamber office and tourism centre has been torn down.

BayToday reports Thursday was demolition day on the property at Seymour and the Bypass, with plans for a gas station and restaurant in the works.

The city sold the land for over $1.6 million.

Meantime part of the $5.7 million reconstruction of the Seymour and 11/17 intersection is slated for this year, with $600,000 earmarked in the 2018 capital budget.
