According to BayToday North Bay’s Ken Appleby was not offered a qualifying contract by the New Jersey Devils on Monday.

That makes an unrestricted free agent meaning he can sign with anyone.

Appleby played with the Devils for 3 games this past season and spent the rest of the year in the ECHL and AHL.
