There won’t be a mayor’s race in Callander in this year’s municipal election.

Incumbent Hec Lavigne was the only declared candidate.

Two veteran councillors Heather Busch and Deputy Mayor Virginia Onley are not running for re-election.

There are 9 candidates in all including veterans Robb Noon and Maurice Turgeon.
