If you like riding the trails you’ll have more options at Restoule Provincial Park.

Park Superintendent Dave Ward says they’re in the process of building a new trail.

“It should be a fun windy trail that meanders through the forest and it goes through some really nice mature bathwood forest,” he says.

He says the work on the trail is just getting started this summer and the idea is to have it ready in the fall and campers will have access to it next spring.

Ward says the 1.5 Kilometre trail will hopefully get people out on their bikes while they’re staying in the park.

Ward says some of the work has been done by young people as part of the Stewardship Youth Ranger program.

It’s an 8 week program that gives youth the opportunity to do ministry field work.

There are 50 program teams in the province with each team comprised of four rangers and a team lead.
