North Bay’s big summer festival Summer In The Park begins Friday at 2 new locations.

This year the events are at Thomson Park and Memorial Gardens.

Events Friday include Piano In The Park, the Midway and Moonlight Madness and Rage in a Cage Street Dodgeball downtown.

It’s also the first night of entertainment at the gardens with Nicholas Cangiano at 7, Jonathan Roy at 7:30, Scott Helman at 8:30 and the the headliner D.N.C.E. at 9:45.

Tickets for the two nights of concerts are available at the Battalion box office and on line too.

There are many daytime events Saturday and Sunday including the “Feel The Beat” African Drum Workshop, Mayhem on Main downtown, a button making station, helicopter rides along Memorial Drive, reptile shows, Northern Stunt Dogs, a meet and greet with Harry and his Bucket Full of Dinosaurs, the Magic of Christophe and hot air balloon rides.

Saturday’s musical entertainment includes Annie Sumi at 7, Kira Isabella at 7:30, Tebey at 8:45 and Dean Brody at 10.

No pets are allowed on the festival grounds with the exception of service animals.
