The North Bay-Parry Sound District Health Unit says blue-green algae has been found in 3 lakes in the district.

Two of the lakes are in Armour Township-Pickerel Lake and Three Mile Lake.

The other lake is in Seguin Township and that is Rankin Lake.

The health unit says don’t use the water for drinking, cooking, bathing, brushing teeth or water sports.

If you’re on a private system the health unit says boiling water will not destroy the toxins.

Also, keep pets away from the water and don’t swim near the algae.
