Medical travel is becoming more convenient in the northeast.

That’s the word from Ontario Northland, which has added bus drop off and pick-up locations at six hospitals in the region, including the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

The other five hospitals are in Sudbury, Timmins, the Soo, Temiskaming and Englehart.

The service for those traveling for health care started last month.

Officials say the bus service provides a safe and reliable transportation option for those who may not have access to personal vehicles or want to leave the driving to someone else.
