The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority reports a black bear cub was spotted at Vincent Massey School last night (Tuesday) and again before 8 am today.

Officials say a sign has been posted at the Laurentian Escarpment Conservation Area trailhead, advising trail users of the bear sighting, and will remain there for 72 hours.

They also say bear sightings are normal for this time of year as they prepare for their winter hibernation.
