Planning for a new school to be built at the W.J. Fricker site continues.

The Near North District School Board says no changes have been made to the project and the ministry has approved it.

In a release, the board says they are currently in the Request for Proposal Process to determine an architect, who will provide design and construction drawings.

Last week the board confirmed the closure of Widdifield Secondary School was being delayed by at least a year.
