OPP say a missing boater has been located and is in good health.

The Sudbury detachment says 2 boats left the Lavigne boat launch on Lake Nipissing on Friday night and were heading to the Star Light Marina.

Police say the boats became separated when one of them encountered engine trouble and started drifting away from the other which made it to shore safely.

Early on Saturday morning a search began with OPP, the West Nipissing Police and the West Nipissing Fire Department all attending.

5 hours later the boater was located in good health after being stranded for 11 hours.
