North Bay OPP says there were 52 motor vehicle collisions last month that they investigated. 11 involved personal injury.

As well, there were 16 violent crimes probed, 7 drug related occurrences, 3 incidents of impaired driving and 66 property crime investigations.

A 42 year old Hamilton man has been charged with impaired drivng by drug.

This after OPP responded to a complaint about a car weaving all over Highway 11 in Powassan at varying speeds last Saturday night.

The motorist has had his license suspended for 90 days.

A 47 year old Calvin Township woman has been charged with driivng with an open container of liquor and having more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in her blood.

Police say the charges were laid after a single vehicle collision on Sunday night in Bonfield Township.

The motorist has had her vehicle impounded for 7 days and has been issued a 90 day license suspension.
