The province’s Special Investigations Unit has determined there are no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges against a North Bay Police Service officer in relation to an incident in September 2017.

A 49 year old woman claimed a serious injury was sustained during her arrest.

The SIU says the complainant’s version of events contradicts all but one of the other witnesses, who is the woman’s on-again, off-again boyfriend.

Officials also say when looking at medical records there are serious doubts as to whether the woman suffered any serious injury at all.
