A long time member of the District of Nipissing social Services Administration Board has died.

George Jupp represented the Territory without Municipal Organization starting in 2000 just 2 years after the board was created.

He served time as chair and vice chair.

George Jupp was 74.

CAO Joe Bradbury says he was a great inspiration, role model and resource to the board and long time city councillor George Maroosis, also a long-time member of the Board says he offered good advice to the board. Officials say the flag at the EMS station in North Bay is being flown at half-mast in honour of Jupp.
