Meals On Wheels in need of volunteer drivers

VON’s Meals On Wheels program is in need of volunteer drivers because there’s a growing need for nutritious meals from their clients.

Karen Champoux says last week they delivered 302 meals by Friday.

“In our efforts to recruit drivers, we’re actually getting more and more Meals On Wheels clients, I am up to 333 meals for this week,” she says.

Champoux also says anyone with time to spare can help them out.

“It takes two hours of your time either once a week or a couple times a week. You can volunteer to drive, bring a friend to help do the running, do it as a team,” she says.
