A 28 year old Petewawa man is facing an impaired driving related charge after a collision early Sunday morning at Highway 531 and Maple Road in Bonfield Township.

The driver of the only vehicle involved in the collision was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

OPP say a 32 year old man from Phelps Township is facing several charges following a domestic occurrence last Friday. The charges include 3 counts of assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, uttering threats to cause death, criminal harassment and mischief.

(break, enter and theft)

Powassan OPP say they’re investigating a a break, enter and theft complaint in Chisholm Township.

Police say someone entered a property on Chiswick Line on Saturday evening and removed a new SaltDogg Electric Hopper Spreader with a value of $7500.

As well, police say a Boss DXT Plow was removed from a vehicle and it was mounted on to the suspects’ vehicle.

The plow is valued at over $10,000.

Police advise people to safeguard their property to make it less attractive to crime.
