Twenty-four CT33 Thunderbird swimmers had first place finishes at the second regional development swim meet of the season, held at the North Bay YMCA pool this past weekend.

Ten-year-old Owen Baas and 14-year-old Brody Marietti (pictured) each won six events.

Other Thunderbirds who won events include Robby Baas (11), Gabriel Cadieux (14), Timothy Corbeil (12), Trael Daly Stevens (15), Jesse Hammond (18), Evan Kilroy (17), Sheldon Kilroy (14), Noah Papatheodorou (15), Cole Paralovos (16), Abigail Betsill (11), Leah Chirico (16), Fia Diorio (12), Sydney Doidge (14), Sophie Durocher (10), Ashley Girard (18), Grace Hong (12), Emilia Lainevool (15), Jillian O’Donnell (16), Jaiden Paralovos (14), Peyton Paralovos (12), Madilyn Reaume (11) and Jenna Wall (14).

Owen Baas and Trael Daly Stevens also broke club records.

Top three achievements we awarded to Albert Bouley (12), Gavin Wall (13), Annika Lainevool (13), Ayden Michaud (15), Ryleigh Paralovos (11), Katie Sefton (15), Madeline Tanner (16) and Isabella Trottier (10).

Swimmers with top 10 finishes were Meghan Norman (15) and Rachelle Ouellette (15).

The men’s relay teams dominated the events with six first place finishes while the women captured three first place finishes and one second place finish.

Meantime, Three CT33 Thunderbird swimmers aged 12 and under recently competed at the first Top Fish Meet of the season in Sudbury.

Sophie Durocher, 11, led the trio with one first place, 3 second place finishes and one third.

Grace Hong, 12, in second place in four events and one third.

Isabella Trottier, 10, had one first place finish and top ten placement in three other events.

Personal best times were recorded by a majority of CT33 swimmers.
