The unemployment rate in the North Bay area came in at 4.6 per cent in November.

However, we can’t tell if it’s up or down from last year at this time, because the numbers were suppressed in November 2017, because they were below the confidentiality threshold.

The national jobless figure in November was 5.6 percent.

Local employment, meantime, was down 0.9 percent year over year to 56.3 in November.

The figures include the City of North Bay, Callander, East Ferris and Bonfield.
