The Laurentian Ski Hill says both the main lift and beginner carpet will be operating on Saturday when they open next.

As well, General Manager Cam Graham says users will be able to check out the the Slingshot Run and the beginner run too.

He says they’ve been busy in the off season getting ready.

“We have worked on Omischl. We’ve added more width and we’ve tried to work on areas the last couple of years that have been down including Lower Jacks Back and Glade to where it once was,” he says.

Graham says there’s a good reason why everything is not opening at once.

“The weather has been challenging for snow making as it hasn’t been as cold as we like. We will keep opening runs as we go,” Graham says.

Graham says the terrain park is operating as a hike park right now. Graham says the beginner hill opened last weekend.
