A 42 year old Timmins woman is facing impaired charges and driving with an open container of liquor after being stopped by North Bay OPP yesterday (Thursday) around 2 pm.

Police say they received a complaint of a vehicle driving very slowly on Hwy 11 in Callander.

Officers located the vehicle and also saw it weaving.

On top of a January court appearance the driver was issued a 90-day licence suspension and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.

North Bay OPP have charged a tractor trailer driver with careless driving after a collision on Thursday night on Highway 11 in North Bay.

Police say they observed large chunks of snow and ice in the northbound lane and upon investigation a vehicle used a service road to turn around.

Police say the result was the vehicle drove over guard rails and a snowbank bringing debris with it.
