OPP say 2 trailers were stolen from a parking lot on Main Street in Powassan on the weekend.

Police say the trailers were loaded with chipboard and were covered with grey and maroon tarps.

The trailers are worth $30,000, the load is worth $30,000 and the tarps cost $5,000. Anyone with information is asked to call OPP or Near North Crime Stoppers.

A snowmobile operator has been charged with speeding and failing to report the circumstances of a collision.

Police say the charges were laid after investigating a collision at a trail near Bonfield.

Police say the machine collided with a tree.

Police say the 22 year old male driver was located in hospital and he had suffered minor injuries.

OPP say a 22 year old St. Catharines motorist has been charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs.

Police say they received a call about a vehicle going the wrong way on Highway 11 near Callander early Sunday morning.

Police say the vehicle involved has been impounded for 7 days and the licence has been revoked for 90 days.

Police say the vehicle went into a ditch.

OPP say a 54 year old North Bay male has been charged with driving while impaired by alcohol.

Police say early on Saturday morning a vehicle swerved in front of a police cruiser and after a roadside test was conducted charges were laid.

A 33 year old male has been charged with assault, uttering death threats to cause death and uttering threats to kill an animal.

Police say on Saturday they responded to a complaint of a landlord tenant dispute in Papineau-Cameron Township.

Police say initially the male was arrested for domestic assault but upon investigation police learned that a man had been receiving death threats from his son for more than 3 months.
