Vehicle stopped for speeding leads to more charges

A 36 year old Nipissing First Nation man is facing several charges after OPP stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 17 on Tuesday night.

Police say they located several drugs, prohibited rifle magazines and ammunition.

The list of drugs includes methamphetamine pills, crystal methamphetamine and marijuana.

The motorist was also charged with speeding and driving while under suspension in addition to possession and trafficking counts.

A 24 year old East Ferris Township male has been charged after police uncovered a stolen vehicle.

OPP says they were doing a check on a vehicle license plate while on patrol and it came back as being stolen.

The man is facing several charges including possession of property obtained by crime and driving while under suspension.
