The North Bay Battalion fired 57 shots at the Kingston net, but lost 2-1 to the Frontenacs last night (Sunday).

Justin Brazeau (pictured) scored the Troops’ lone goal.

It’s North Bay’s first regulation loss since December 9th.

The Battalion are back in action Wednesday night in Sudbury.

 

In OUA women’s hockey, Nipissing lost 2-1 to Western yesterday.

This after the Lakers won 4-1 in Windsor on Saturday.

The Nipissing men also split their weekend games, shutting out UOIT 2-0 on Friday then dropping a 4-1 decision to Queen’s on Saturday.

Both Nipissing basketball teams lost to Ottawa and Carleton on the weekend.

 

In OCAA women’s volleyball, Canadore is now 9-2 on the season.

They defeated Centennial 3-2 on Friday, beat Fleming 3-1 on Saturday, but lost 3-nothing to Durham yesterday.

The Canadore men, meantime, are now 8-3 after winning all three of their games this past weekend.

In men’s basketball, the Panthers lost their game on Saturday to Algonquin, but beat La Cite 83-62 yesterday.

 

Back to hockey, it was a weekend split for the Powassan Voodoos.

After they defeated Hearst 3-2 on Friday night, the Voodoos lost 6-4 to the Soo Thunderbirds on Saturday.

Both teams meet up again this coming Friday in Sault Ste Marie.
