A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for the North Bay area.

Environment Canada says bands of lake effect flurries continue and are expected to move southeast of the city by midday.

About 5cm of snow is possible, with blowing snow causing poor visibility.

An update from Sudbury OPP after a multi-vehicle collision on Hwy 17 West this morning.

Police report all lanes of the roadway near Wahnapitae were reopened just after 8 am.

There’s no word on injuries.

Still with the weather, school buses are cancelled today in West Parry Sound and East Parry Sound South of Hwy 522.

That includes South River, Sundridge and Burk’s Falls.

It’s because of snow and snowsqualls.
