In less than 3 weeks the Harlem Globetrotters will be putting on a show at Memorial Gardens.

Lilly “Champ” Thompson is in her first year on the team.

She joined after being part of Notre Dame’s championship season in U.S. college basketball.

She promises a fan friendly show on Monday April 1st.

“We showcase family fun. There’ll be high flying dunks, trick shots and basketball handling. It’s one big party and we have the most fan interaction in all of sports. We’re really excited ot get the fans involved,” she says.

She says growing up in Texas she got the chance to attend a Globetrotters camp and has always wanted to play on the team.

She says their show is very fan interactive.

“There’s no other place in sports where you have professional athletes interacting with you. We’ll teach you tricks. The Globetrotters are special in that we do this with our fans,” Thompson says.

Tickets are available at harlemglobetrotters.com, North Bay Battalion, the Memorial Gardens box office or by phone at 705-495-8603 ext. 2700. For more information, visit harlemglobetrotters.com. Show time is 7 pm.
