North Bay Battalion forward Justin Brazeau has been recognized with an OHL award.

He’s the recipient of the Jim Mahon Trophy which goes to the top scoring right winger in the OHL.

He notched 61 goals and became the 3rd North Bay OHL player to score 60 goals in a season.

Both were previously done by North Bay Centennials stars: Vitali Yachmenev who scored 61 in 1993-94 and Nick Kypreos netted 62 during the 1985-86 season.

Brazeau finished with 113 points, 2nd in the league in scoring and became the first North Bay OHL player to score 100 points since Trevor Gallant had 105 in the 1995-96 year for the Cents.

Brazeau’s the 2nd Battalion player to get 100 points.

Wojtek Wolski had 128 points in 2005-06.
