Court case against the city withdrawn

The city says it’s received word that the court filing questioning the validity of last year’s municipal election has been withdrawn.

This means a April 10th hearing will not be going ahead.

The filing launched by North Bay resident Mark Shannon under the Municipal Elections Act wanted the City Clerk to retain all ballots and other documents and materials related to the election beyond the statutory 120 days.
