The latest list of Canada’s top places to start and grow a business is out and North Bay is near the bottom.

With a score of 47.5, the city ranks 115th out of 125 communities on the Canadian Federation of Independent Business list.

The report evaluates communities on 13 key indicators related to business owner demographics, sentiment and business-friendly policies.

Whitehorse, Yukon is number one.

Timmins was tops in the northeast at 93rd, Sudbury was next at 103 and the Soo is one spot behind North Bay at 116.
