A whirlwind tour of the North Bay area for Premier Doug Ford included a number of stops late last week.

On top of the official opening the new downtown nurse practitioner-led clinic and getting Finance Minister and MPP Vic Fedeli’s refurbished cowboy boots ahead of this Thursday’s budget, the two toured area companies, Sienna Films and more.

Ford was also asked about the election promise of seeing the return of passenger rail service during their first mandate.

“I’ll let Vic answer this, but I’ll tell you there’s no bigger champion than Vic Fedeli, Greg Rickford and our whole team up north to champion this,” Ford says.

Fedeli says their game plan is to honour their committments made throughout the campaign.

“We said we would do these things during our first mandate and we have three years left in our mandate,” Fedeli says.
