Local robotics Team 1305 has qualified for the upcoming FIRST Robotics World Championship.

At the provincial championship this past weekend in Mississauga they made it to the semifinals.

The local team also earned the Creativity Award for the unique design of their 360 degree rotating tower.

“We were proud to represent our community and Northern Ontario and we look forward to representing them on the world stage,” says Team Captain Colton Chaput.

Next up for Team 1305 and their robot Kepler is the world championship in Detroit, April 25-27th.
