The Nipissing District Social Services Administration Board will receive $2.7 million in funding as part of the province’s new Community Housing Renewal Strategy.

This is part of a $1 billion announcement.

The government says the funds will be directed to municipalities and non profits to deal with issues like safety, overcrowding and long waiting lists.
